Helpful tips for making Net Wedding Favours by hand
Place your favour nets on top of each other with outer layer at the bottom, making sure all the layers are level and central. Place a favour saucer in the middle of the favour nets, and then place your filling in the saucer or centre of the nets. Cut ribbon to length – if you’re using curling ribbon, remember to add plenty of length for the ‘curls’. Bring up all the layers together, and hold together in the centre above the favour dish. Then gather in the edges in between these points, so that you have effectively gathered the layers together Tie your ribbon around the gathered tulle just above the filling, making sure it is central and even, and secure tightly with a double knot. Finish with a bow if desired. Pull each layer of tulle apart, separating them to give a fuller effect. You can insert flowers into the centre of the favour as additional decoration. Remember favours are not just limited to use as Wedding favours you can use a pretty pale pink and pale blue favour net for Christening favours, or maybe gold and silver for Anniversary favours. With a huge range of colours and styles of net available, the possibilities are endless!
